Human Resource Management

We have professional, dedicated and competitive teaching and non-teaching staff so as to accomplish the goals of this organization. Moreover, we believe that the overall performance of the organization entirely depends on the caliber and creativity of human resources. Considering this reality, FSS has managed academic departments viz English and Social Science Department, Mathematics Department, Science Department, Nepali Department and Computer and Information Department. These departments are composed of Head of Department (HOD), Subject Experts, Subject Facilitators and other faculty members. There. is constant interaction and sharing of ideas and experience among them pertaining to classroom teaching and learning.

Pedagogical Approach

Fundamentally, we apply student centered and pupil participatory approach of pedagogy. To empower the learners making them realize their inherent potentiality is our prime objective. Moreover, eclectic methods, diverse techniques, situational strategies and context demanded tools of teaching are used considering the requirements and nature of subject matter, learners' age and their lean abilities and interest.

Report Cards

Students’ Progress Report Cards 9SPRC) are distributed at the end of each round of Topic Tests and Terminal Examinations from the respective classrooms. Parents. Guardians’ presence is mandatory to collect the report cards of their wards

Presentation Classes

Research and presentation classes associated to the syllabus and topics are regularly organized in order to enhance the level of confidence and communicative skills in the learners. Such presentations are managed to expose the students' innovative ideas and conclusions individually and in groups. The presenters are provided with valuable feedback and appreciative inquiry after their presentation. Departments, subject teachers and school administration apply new reformative strategies analyzing the result of such assessments.

Promotion system

Promotion of students to next class is based on cumulative assessment for the year; taking into account all the booster & terminal examinations, oral n tests, projects, class work, homework O and extra-curricular activities. The minimum benchmark for the promotion e to upper class is 40. Practical tests on subjects such like English, Nepali, Science and Computer Science are conducted prior to each terminal examination.

Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) and Co-curricular Activities (CCA)

Considering the pertinence of ECA and CCA in the life, school has given due emphasis on various aspects and activities pertaining to aesthetic and spiritual development, physical growth, character enrichment and community responsibilities. Such activities can assist to inculcate a spirit of a sound competition and leadership.

Admission policies

Admission in Fluorescent is based on its entrance test. Students must meet the minimum criteria set by the school. However, to get admission in Grade11, students securing at least B grade (for science stream) and C grade (for management) in SEE or in an equivalent recognized board with C grade in each subject will be eligible.

Language policies

English is the medium of instruction and formal and informal assessment except Nepali subject. Considering the global significance, demand and popularity of English language, all the students are encouraged to use it as a means of communication inside the school premises. However, students ought to pay high reverence towards Nepali language and other native languages as well.

Attendance policies

Students must attend the school punctually and regularly. They are not allowed to leave the school compound for any reason unless they have prior permission from the authority concerned. For special permission to leave school early due to medical appointments, written requests should reach the respective authority before the commencement of classes on a particular day.

Scholarship and Award Policy

The school has made a limited number of scholarships available to the students who have attained exceptional academic standards, grade toppers, physically challenged ones, ethnic minorities, instantly needy ones by the circumstance and position holders in national competition and events. The decision of the School Board is final pertaining to scholarship

School Functions and Celebrations

The school organizes various functions on special occasions. Certain national and local festivals are celebrated with teachers and students' full participation. Mainly Bal Diwas (Children Day), Dashain, Tihar, Shree Panchami, Annual Sport Week, School Fete and Exhibition and Parents Day are marked magnificently.

PTM, PTSM and Provision of Extra Classes

PTM (Parent-Teachers' Meeting) and PTSM (Parent-Teacher-Student Meeting) are held at least four times in a year or as per the need to share with and discuss the overall performance of the students. Academically underachievers are provided with extra coaching and guidance. Tutorials are managed for students with the major subjects as per the requirement. It is compulsory for the weak students to attend such additional classes.
