Admission in Fluorescent is based on its entrance test. Students must meet the minimum criteria set by the school. However, to get admission in Grade11, students securing at least B grade (for science stream) and C grade (for management) in SEE or in an equivalent recognized board with C grade in each subject will be eligible.

English is the medium of instruction and formal and informal assessment except Nepali subject. Considering the global significance, demand and popularity of English language, all the students are encouraged to use it as a means of communication inside the school premises. However, students ought to pay high reverence towards Nepali language and other native languages as well.

Students must attend the school punctually and regularly. They are not allowed to leave the school compound for any reason unless they have prior permission from the authority concerned. For special permission to leave school early due to medical appointments, written requests should reach the respective authority before the commencement of classes on a particular day.

The school has made a limited number of scholarships available to the students who have attained exceptional academic standards, grade toppers, physically challenged ones, ethnic minorities, instantly needy ones by the circumstance and position holders in national competition and events. The decision of the School Board is final pertaining to scholarship.

The school organizes various functions on special occasions. Certain national and local festivals are celebrated with teachers and students' full participation. Mainly Bal Diwas (Children Day), Dashain, Tihar, Shree Panchami, Annual Sport Week, School Fete and Exhibition and Parents Day are marked magnificently.

PTM (Parent-Teachers' Meeting) and PTSM (Parent-Teacher-Student Meeting) are held at least four times in a year or as per the need to share with and discuss the overall performance of the students. Academically underachievers are provided with extra coaching and guidance. Tutorials are managed for students with the major subjects as per the requirement.
